Sherwin-Williams article updates [ edit ]

Hi, my name is Mira and I am the employee representative for Sherwin-Williams here on Wikipedia. I posted a request on the Sherwin-Williams talk page to hopefully work with editors to make improvements to the article while following the site's guidelines for editors like me with a conflict of interest. As an employee, I will refrain from editing the article and related articles directly. I won't list my full request here, but you may review it on the Sherwin-Williams talk page.

This WikiProject is listed on the Sherwin-Williams article, so I thought it would be a good idea to reach out to see if there were any interested editors.

Please let me know if this is the preferred way for a conflict of interest editor like myself to best collaborate with editors! I welcome your questions and feedback if they arise. Thanks in advance! MiraSherwin-Williams (talk) 20:36, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

@MiraSherwin-Williams: Thanks for following the conflict of interest (COI) guidelines. The best way to request an edit when you have a COI is to use the {{request edit}} template on the article's talk page. That can be found here, with instructions on how to use it: Template:Request edit. This will list it along with other edit requests, so you can get more eyes on what you're asking. I've gone ahead and added it to the message you already wrote on the Sherwin-Williams talk page. The backlog for edit requests is long right now, so it may take awhile for someone to reply. Hope this helps, - Whisperjanes (talk) 17:58, 20 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi, Whisperjanes, thanks so much for this feedback and for using my earlier post to the Sherwin-Williams Talk page as an example. I see how it works and will keep the template in mind for future use. Best, MiraSherwin-Williams (talk) 18:21, 23 September 2020 (UTC)

Flow (brand) [ edit ]

Essilor and Varilux still heavily contaminated by 2009 promotional editing [ edit ]

Details at Talk:Essilor#Spam-edits in 2009 still dominate Essilor and Varilux, also in the history of the redirect at Crizal and an identical report at Talk:Varilux##Spam-edits in 2009 still dominate Essilor and Varilux, also in the history of the redirect at Crizal. It looks like at least one other editor may be doing promotional edits to Essilor and other companies as well (contributions).

In any case, both articles need heavy trimming. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 21:17, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of InterSense [ edit ]

Notice

The article InterSense has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A search for references failed to find significant coverage in reliable sources to comply with notability requirements. This included web searches for news coverage, books, and journals, which can be seen from the following links:

InterSensenews, books, scholar

Consequently, this article is about a subject that appears to lack sufficient notability. Please see the plain-language summary of our notability guidelines.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I need help with the article about Barry Callebaut [ edit ]

Hi everyone, I'd be willing to translate part of the Italian version of the article about Barry Callebaut, in order to fill some gaps within the English version. What do you think? I have submitted my request in this talk page but no one replied. Raphael.Wermuth (talk) 12:11, 29 September 2020 (UTC)

Translated and well-sourced article. Could it be moved into the mainspace? [ edit ]

Hi everyone, I have submitted (here) a translated version from the Italian version of the article about Mutti Spa: the Italian company specialized in preserved food in the tomato sector, founded in 1899. If you agree as well, I would move it into the mainspace. The only thing missing is the logo which, I think, has to be added once the article is published. The article seems to me well-sourced. Furthermore, the company is 121 years old and present in 97 countries. What do you think? Michele Laterza83 (talk) 07:55, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

  • Note: Also asked and answered at my talk page. Eagleash (talk) 17:56, 20 October 2020 (UTC)

Proposed Rewrites of World Wide Technology Article [ edit ]

NOTE: I am proposing these edits for FleishmanHillard on behalf of World Wide Technology. I am a paid editor and aware of the COI guidelines. I have posted proposed revisions/rewrite to the World Wide Technology article’s Talk page and wanted to flag this to related WikiProjects to hopefully gain consensus or feedback from editors on proposed re-writes. Thank you for your consideration! Jon Gray (talk) 15:52, 19 October 2020 (UTC)

Separate MDA Corporation from Maxar Technologies [ edit ]

As of April 8th, 2020, the sale the MDA assets by Maxar Technologies (NYSE:MAXR)(TSX:MAXR) to a consortium led by Toronto-based investment firm Northern Private Capital (NPC) has officially closed. This marks the return of MDA to Canadian control as a private, independent company. As such, the MDA portion is now called "MDA Corporation" and I believe that the references to MDA that currently point to the "Maxar Technologies" page should be updated to a new "MDA Corporation" page accordingly. These include links from the pages for "Spar Aerospace", "MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates", "MDA Corporation" and perhaps other references. I have added to a similar proposal on the Maxar Technologies talk page as well. How do we move this forward? Brantzmyers (talk) 20:38, 26 October 2020 (UTC) I have changed the redirect to become a new page for "MDA Corporation". It is in its infancy and needs a lot of work, but its a start. Please help build it out - thanks. Brantzmyers (talk) 22:41, 26 October 2020 (UTC) I have renamed the article MDA (company) - I asked their Marcom department and they just want to be called MDA, so this was the best way I could think of handling it for disambiguation purposes. Française des Jeux (lottery) [ edit ]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fran%C3%A7aise_des_Jeux_(lottery)

In July 2018, the French government, which currently owns 72% of FDJ, has decided to take the company public [I think here it should be private!] and sell off 50% of its ownership. This is in hopes of rejuvenating the national treasury.[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by K5Julien (talkcontribs) 17:55, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
